MY APPROACH TO COACHING

Our approach to fitness is movement first, intensity second.

If you are on a health drive or just about to take training seriously it can be tempting to jump straight into some low cost HIIT sessions. If you do this and have not been taught how to properly move you run a very high risk of getting an injury. This is not what I want to happen to you as it will delay your fitness training and sap your motivation! 

Movement First: Learn to move and your risk of injury goes waaay down! 

Consistency Second: Once you have nailed the movement, then we work on being able to repeat it. Once you 
have nailed that, we can work on intensity. 

Intensity: Now it is time to increase weight, repetitions or speed. 

I will help you improve your all round fitness using a mixture of Functional Strength & Conditioning techniques that have worked for many people with different goals including fat loss, muscle gain and sports performance.

There are 5 areas that you must consider to be successful with your fitness, whatever it is you are trying to achieve.

1. Training
2. Nutrition
3. Mindset
4. Recovery
5. Sleep

1. Training 

Do not go the the gym without a plan!

We have all done it, walked into the gym without a plan and wasted valuable time. ​

Pretty surprising then that the number one excuse I hear for not getting fit is 'I don't have time'... 

This time you will have a complete training session, including an in-depth 'movement preparation' section delivered into your phone app every morning, so you know exactly what you need to do on the day.

To fail to prepare is to prepare to fail. 
TECHNIQUE ANALYSIS

The biggest concern with remote coaching is correct movements with good technique.

​With The Fitness Masters Phone App you are able to watch a video demonstrating good technique and then record yourself to make sure you are moving correctly.

​I will also be able to see your video and provide you with feedback.

If you need extra help, I am only a phone call or video call away. There have been many times where I have given my client a quick call to explain something or make sure they are doing the right thing!

2. NUTRITION

You will be provided with my Nutrition E-Book and Nutrition seminars.

If you need further help with nutrition, then full coaching and food diary analysis is available.

Nutrition is critical when it comes to energy levels, overall health and maintaining a strong fit body!

Dont eat like a child! 

If you get serious on your nutrition you will see some serious gains in your fitness and you will ensure that you remain disease free for life. 

3. MINDSET

Mindset is key to your success. I will teach you how to feed your mind to help you stay focused with your fitness.

My seminars and book suggestions will re-enforce that improving your fitness is the right decision!

If at anytime you are struggling with your motivation and mindset then you can also book in a coaching call with me to spur you on and keep you accountable with your training. 

4. Recovery 

The quicker you recover the quicker you can train again!

Nutrition is an important factor in recovery, but so is flexibility and mobility, but lets face it, no one likes to foam roll of stretch on their own! Which is why I have created live and pre-recorded mobility & flexibility classes.

5. SLEEP

Sleep is where your body repairs itself; no sleep, no recovery! Enough said! You can function with lots of coffee and minimal sleep, but your body can't actually repair itself this way and you will slowly start to breakdown.
